  • Is table talk permitted?
We have seen both collaboration as well as competition. Let the dynamics of the group decide if communication between players is acceptable. Its fun to play either way!
  • Why are the gameboard characters Lion, Man, Ox, and Eagle?
The characters on the gameboard—Lion, Man, Ox, and Eagle—are not random. Each represents the pinnacle of their respective species: the lion is king of the beasts, man is king of his domain, the ox is the king of working animals, and the eagle is the leader of the birds. They also reference all of humanity described as living creatures in the book of Ezekiel.
  • Can the Dealer change the location of their bet after other players bet?
No. Once the Dealer places a wager on the gameboard, the Dealer cannot change its location. However, they can add or subtract any number of tokens. Their minimum bet is 10 units.
  • Why are there exactly 3 wild cards?
We wanted a slight edge for the Dealer when they place a bet. Especially having a slight advantage over a player betting on the all-wrong special bet. Since the Dealer is an instant winner and other bets are losers when a wild card is revealed, this dynamic keeps players from camping all game on the all-wrong special bet.
  • Can you look at previously played cards?
No. Once cards are revealed, they are placed face down and not to be viewed again in the game. However, you can count how many cards are remaining to be played to calculate probabilities.
  • Can you bet the all-wrong special bet against a Dealer who bets on a wild card?
Yes. This can be a very good way to play the odds and wager against the Dealer. Any card other than a wild card is a winning bet.
  • Can a Dealer bet on a Wild card location?
Yes. If the Dealer believes the next card revealed will be a Wild Card, they can bet on one of the wild card locations on the gameboard. If they are correct, they will get 10x their bet. Keep in mind that the Dealer will win 5x their bet if they place a bet on a color/shape location and a wild card comes up.
  • If the Dealer bets Wild Card what happens if a Player also bets Wild Card?
If the Dealer bets on a wild card location and a wild card is revealed, they get paid 10x their bet. Players can join the Dealer by betting on a wild card spot and receive 10x their bet if a wild card is revealed.
